EMERGENCY OVERVIEW

Appearance: beige solid.
Caution! Causes eye irritation. Causes respiratory tract irritation. Causes skin irritation. May cause digestive tract irritation. May cause blood abnormalities. May cause kidney damage. Light sensitive. May cause reproductive and fetal effects.
Target Organs: Kidneys, blood forming organs, bone marrow.

Potential Health Effects
Eye: Causes eye irritation.
Skin: Causes skin irritation.
Ingestion: May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. May cause kidney damage. May cause systemic toxicity with acidosis. Exposure may cause anemia and other blood abnormalities. May produce aplastic anemia, blood pressure depression, body temperature decrease, changes in kidnet tubules, dyspnea, flaccid paralysis without anesthesia, gastrointestinal effects, kidney damage and hemorrhaging, muscle contraction or spasticity, muscle weakness, nausea, vomiting, respiratory stimulation and somnolence. Prolonged ingestion may produce bone marrow depression with agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia and aplastic anemia may occur with prolonged administration. Lab findings in overdoses have indicated metabolic acidosis, hyponatremia, hypokalemia, bone marrow hypoplasia, thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, coagulopathy, and less commonly hemolytic anemia.
Inhalation: Causes respiratory tract irritation.
Chronic: May cause bone marrow abnormalities with damage to blood forming tissues.

Section 4 - First Aid Measures

Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid imme diately.
Skin: Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water.
Ingestion: If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid immediately.
Inhalation: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear.
